If the date is flexible, make it November. The whole city goes pink with cherry blossoms; a handful of places on earth do this. A wedding under it is the photograph everyone will keep. Book the month a year out; you won't be the only ones who want it.

The Format

Take the whole resort. Every room, every guest yours. Three generations sorted by who wants quiet (from 01:00, everyone gets it) and who wants the bar. Dogs get the run of the lawn; children get hot chocolate at altitude; in-laws get the best view in the house.

The Food And The Music

Cassette cooks it, vegetarian and non-vegetarian throughout, built around your functions. The music is the point at Upper Shillong — Shillong is the rock capital of the country and we act accordingly. Bring your band, or use ours.

Getting the family there

Guwahati, three hours through tea country; or Shillong airport direct from Kolkata and Delhi, then ninety minutes. We'll arrange the cars.
